Life is Dragons
Apr. 28th, 2024 09:04 pmSeven days ago I started playing Flight Rising, which I've thought of for years as "the other dragon game." :D Then yesterday DragCave dropped a new breed and a new hybrid. Everything in my life is coming up dragons!
Anyone on the flist a Flight Rising player? Show me all your beautiful and skilled dragons!
It's unfair that nobody warned me playing the Shock Switch minigame is addictive. There goes the time I should have spent cleaning the house! Oops. Collecting dragons is also addictive, but DragonCave taught me that years ago. ;D I've already bought four lair expansions, so now I can have up to 25 total dragons. I haven't tried breeding yet, but someone kindly gave me a Level 7 Veilspun so I finally ventured into the Coliseum.
Familiars are my favourite thing - all right, aside from Shock Switch - and I went on a collecting/buying spree, so now I have more familiars than dragons, and there are still several more I want.If anyone has a Platewing Spinx going spare, I'd give it a good home!
Speaking of familiars, I joined during a site event, and the special familiar you could buy in the event shop was... a krait. :D :D :D :D (Albeit one with an inaccurate tail, but still!)

My game is the Coliseum, which has the advantage of being a good way to earn treasure. If you want any tips on getting started, let me know!

Date: 2024-05-01 01:44 am (UTC)I am... figuring out... the Coliseum? Though I feel that a better phrase might be, 'flailing through' or perhaps 'enduring'? Heh. Someone kindly gifted me a higher-level dragon, so I'm trying to get my progenitor pair up a few levels in the name of getting the hang of the combat system. I will definitely hit you up for tips! My current Coliseum team is Alorn | Sorenna | Stormsilt, and advice on what kinds of supplies I should equip them with would be particularly welcome. (I see armour apparel; is that functional combat protection, or just protection? What about gaining more attacks?)
I've got three hatchies on my scroll that I plan to eventually level up and exalt, but for now I'm using them for familiar farming. (I think a third of my lair may be familiar farming right now, honestly. There are too many familiars I want but can't afford, so I'm grinding through Fiona's Feats.) Why are there so many pretty familiars when I also need to be able to afford gene scrolls and magic rocks?! :D

Date: 2024-05-04 06:03 pm (UTC)I'm kind of glad, because dress-up is not really a game I want to go into. There could be a rare exception where an apparel item helps cover up a less-than-ideal colour or marking.
(And argh, in my comment above that second 'protection' should be 'decoration,' obviously. Oops.)
