Scales and Tales

It's cold. What better excuse to putter around assembling tea packages for my Cards & Tea respondents? :) It's too cold to take them to be mailed, but I can at least work on assembly to get me up and moving instead of spending all day huddled in a heap of blankets on the sofa under the cats.

The poll is still open to anyone who would like a note and/or a sampler!

For anyone new to my blog: every year I offer to send out a holiday card, with or without a variety of teas (mostly black teas, though sometimes I have a few green or herbal options), to anyone who wants one! No reciprocation/exchange is expected, though if you want to send me things, you're welcome to PM me for address info.

Here is the poll! Answers are visible only to me, to protect address information. Be sure to give a name and a country with your address! Use the comments to add any useful notes about your tea preferences. You can also use the comments to request a non-holiday card, if you prefer.

Oh - azurelunatic, isis, & schneefink, I sent out your cards and tea last week, but forgot to mention it! Keep an eye out, though given the state of the postal service who knows how long they'll take in transit.

If anyone else wants a card and/or tea, the poll is still open, though I've packed up all my holiday cards so I'll send a regular one instead.

Please feel free to throw more Journaling January prompts at me, too! I'll give myself a couple, but if there's anything you want me to talk about - unfinished fics, small fandoms, crafting, cats? - now's your chance. :D Leave a prompt at any point this month and let me know. For anyone who's new to my journal, every year I offer to send cards and/or tea to anyone who's interested. You don't have to follow me, and you don't have to send me anything! This is my 'thank you' to fandom at large for being a wonderful place.

This post and poll will remain active throughout December (and quite possibly into January), so never fear it's too late to sign up - though of course your card/tea may arrive after the holiday. :D


(If you are one of the people who would like to send tea as well as receive it, thank you! I love non-sweet black or white teas. Plain teas or teas with various flavours are welcome, but I'm not a fan of anise/liquorice, vanilla, cinnamon, or very sweet fruits, e.g. papaya.)

It's that time again... time for Krait's Annual Sending of Holiday Cards and/or Tea!

For those who are new, or have forgotten, every year I offer to send out holiday cards (with or without a few tea bags tucked in) to anyone on my reading list.

This has been a tradition of mine since LJ, and I still enjoy it a lot! For me, it's something tied to LJ/DW fandom being a community. Anyone is welcome to sign up, and you're not expected to reciprocate (though if you want to, you can PM me for contact info).



Notes about flavours or types of tea you prefer are welcomed in the comments! My tea collection is mostly black tea, with a few stray whites or greens. I am Not A Vanilla Person, (haha; have you seen this blog's tags?! But also literally) and not a big fan of sweetened teas or of sweet-fruity flavours, either, so those generally won't appear in cards with tea, though sharper fruits like citrus or currant are possible.
