Anyone using Open Office?

I am trying it for the first time, and I'm hoping someone will know how to fix the two main things that are bugging me.
Namely, every single page has a stupid black border around its text that I cannot seem to remove, plus a "gap" between each page that I likewise am having no trouble eradicating.
This program is going to rapidly be deleted if I can't figure out how to undo this nonsense... (Guess what my two least favourite default-settings in MS Word are? Yep. Old!Word, anyway; we won't talk about the absolutely rage-inducing menus of Newer!Word, because I don't need a cardiac incident.)

Date: 2013-02-19 10:35 pm (UTC)In View, you can choose Web layout or Page Layout. It sounds like you are on Page Layout, and it's showing you the literal pages as they would be printed. Try switching to Web Layout and see if that works better.
I don't know how to turn the borders off on Page Layout, but you can go to the lower right corner to the Zoom bar, and click up until the borders go out of view.
