vimeslady, because she wanted V/V and I know I'm incapable of writing it; the best I can do is gather up all the recs I know of, hoping that maybe there's one thing in there she hasn't found yet. (Haha, I typed that as, "hasn't found het".) This isn't just Vetinari/Vimes, though; I'm including the gen stories I've picked up here and there as well.

An Old Dog, by Lynnmonster
Maybe UST more than slash, but well-written. Everyone knows Vetinari has a genuine affection for Wuffles... but what about Vetinari's terrier?
Bolero, by DrWorm
Rather short, but who's worried about that when there's smut? Young!Vimes and Young!Vetinari have an encounter, in a dark building. Not!Keel watches and remembers.
Election Day, by Sushi
Gen, and brilliant. That's all I'm sayin'. :D
Games of Desire, by Casira
A bit unlikely, or at least to my finicky tastes, in its setup, but delivers admirably when it comes to smut. Unfortunately, Vetinari/Vimes isn't like Snape/Harry; I've learnt to be grateful for any I find.
Off the Cuff, by Copperbadge
Young!Vetinari follows the man he knew as John Keel forward in time. I love this story so very, very much, and never cease to wish for more chapters.
Long Dark Night, by Mistress Arion
All right, I'm reccing this one mainly for the sex. Feel free to read the summary and skip to the second page, if you like. The plot, or at least certain elements of it, are thoroughly implausible even by Disc standards, but the smut lacks nothing.
Rain, by [Someone Who Forgot to Put A Name On Her Site]
The dialogue is not exactly scintillating, but I love the idea underlying this story. Few writers give us new Vetinari thinking, and this story's is just so very plausible... And then there's the business with the broom. :D Gen.
