Not having made much progress in any of the things I was reading, I decided to read The Goblin Emperor instead. The change seems to have knocked out my reading block! I finished it in a day, and then read Neil Gaiman's Norse Mythology (on loan from a coworker) the following night.
Now I'm browsing through the 22 pages of Goblin Emperor fic on AO3 in a leisurely way, but my attention is split and I'll hopefully make it through a couple of the books I got stalled on.

Haha, same! I also didn't have a ton to say about Norse Mythology, but I did like the balance Gaiman managed with Loki, which is one of the main things I care about when it comes to Norse mythology :)
The new Paarfi literally came out yesterday! (It's a distinct set of characters from the Khaavren books, set earlier than TPG -- or at least it starts earlier, not sure how far the action will extend. The only familiar name on the Dramatis Personae list was Daro, but I haven't gotten to her yet; I assume she's a minor character at the end of the book, from her placement towards the end of the list.
I haven't even finished the last Vlad book yet (it sorta got buried during the bathroom remodel
Haha, well, if any Vlad book should get sort of buried during a bathroom remodel, Vallista would definitely be the right one, thematically speaking :)
Apparently Tsalmoth is pretty slow going, so I'm actually kind of jealous you still have unread Vlad to tide you over before the new one comes out.
