I've been thinking lately how much I enjoy talking about the fictional tropes I love, so it seemed smart to open the field to prompts.

I'd love to hear your take on hurt-no-comfort as a subgenre! or pollen (sex pollen, cuddle pollen, whatever)

I love a Badass Normal character -- the nonsuperpowered friend/ally of a magical or otherwise superpowered person who can take on and defeat (or at least hold his or her own against) some sort of superior firepower, magical or otherwise. It's a really tricky trope to pull off properly, but when it's done right I adore it. So if you have canon recs, I'm curious!

Ooh, this is interesting. I always have a tough time naming tropes, so let's see if I can remember any. Here's one I hadn't heard from before until now: Plot-Triggering Death.
