Man, I haven't even tried selling on ebay, because I have a feeling it would this sort of thing multiplied by a factor of ten. :/
The first person is an extra shock because I've had many pleasant transactions - as both buyer and seller - on the small hobby forum where my ad was posted, so running into the Transaction A weirdness is such a sharp contrast. (As I said in a comment above, someone really needs to tell this person that signing every message with "Hugs!!" does not make attempting to renegotiate the ad details more endearing.)
No word thus far from the "friend of the friend" who thought I might like a sight-unseen third-party-managed trade... Probably because I suggested reasonable precautions to avoid being scammed. :D
