Well, that was unexpected.
Apr. 5th, 2016 10:31 pmSo, late the other night, in a fit of combined whimsy and frustration, I did a thing.
I do not plan on posting anything! I'm just using it to read people whom I cannot read at DW, or who post much more content on Tumblr than on DW. Plus, having a username means I can finally contact Tumblrites who don't have anonymous asks enabled.
Expect much panic, because this platform confuses me greatly. You don't even want to know how long it took me to figure out how to put an icon on there! And I still don't know how to make a profile/about-me/whatever you call it... I settled for a text post, as a placeholder.

Date: 2016-04-12 04:11 am (UTC)DW has spoiled me; without a convenient login window in the top of each page, I'm too lazy to go through the pain of clicking on Tumblr's icon (and leaving whatever I'm looking at!) and then logging in.
So far I'm unimpressed by the results when I do log in, too. It seems less organised than a DW reading page, and harder to follow who's posting what. (Though part of that may be my newness and the lack of a satisfactory layout - I have had the same DW layout for ages, and am really fond of the way it sets up reading page entries! I've experimented with a bare half-dozen Tumblr layouts so far, and haven't been completely in love with any of them... I even caught myself thinking about whether it'd be possible to find someone to create a layout that mimics my DW!)

Date: 2016-05-03 07:23 pm (UTC)I've been wondering how people keep track of that - checking a tumblr manually, it's hard enough to be aware of whether something is an original post or merely a reblog.
