This may be the first time I've done this, and I can now attest to the weird power of Homestuck fandom to apply itself (in the form of troll romantic concepts) insidiously to non-Homestuck things.

Watching 'Take Me Or Leave Me' from Rent, I had this flash of sudden understanding: Maureen and Joanne just flipped black in the middle of their matespritship ceremony, no wonder everyone's so embarrassed.

...I'm deeply amused at myself.

LOL! I've been labeling different pairs of characters as Moirails, myself. (Tony and Bruce in the Avengers movie? Totes pale for each other.)

Haven't seen Avengers, but yeah, I have incorporated "moirallegiance" into my basic worldviews and apply it as necessary!

(Spent a bit of time this morning wondering whether Mark was ashen for Joanne/Maureen or just pale for Joanne!)

It really does! Like the phrase "incestuous slurry", once read the quadrant concept cannot be discarded from the brain entirely. It will lurk behind your eyes and pop out at inappropriate moments, causing you to snorfle your drink or have to awkwardly smother giggles in the midst of non-Homestuck activities with other fen. Forever. :D
