Captive Prince has updated!

I, erm, don't know if I've ever mentioned this, but I am a HUGE FANGIRL of Freece's "Captive Prince" original-fic novel, and chapter 26 has been posted!

If you haven't read it: why not? :D Seriously. Yes, it's a WIP, but so far Freece has been extremely reliable and dedicated; and the writing is seriously (I cannot stop using that word) amazing. Freece has promised there will be an actual made-of-trees version when it's finished, and I will be buying multiple copies because this story? Completely deserves it. This is the kind of story I have looked for in vain on the fantasy shelves, and even incomplete it's better than four out of five of the fantasy novels I've read recently.

I wish I hadn't started this, because now I can't help reading updates when they happen someone on my f-list happens to link to them, but it's updated waaay to rarely for my memory capicity - I can never remember who anyone or anything is; it often takes me several sentences just to remember who the protagonists are!

Aww! I am in nearly the same position -- I didn't see the update, which I think happened about three days ago (skip=90 over on LJ); I saw someone's post about the update. And I went and re-read chapter 25 before starting 26 because I couldn't remember where they were or what had happened...

True. D: I suppose I was thinking about all those longing looks they've been throwing at each other, and/or the eventual hopefully-happy resolution. I read the spoiler-version warnings, and it gave me hope!

My current WIP-trepidation is focused on Caecilia's SS/HP story "Elective Affinities" -- I found it, read all nine chapters, went to her journal, found an entry saying the next chapter was fully planned but writing was slower due to some academic thing... and, two days later, a post about how she's signed up for a fic-fest. So. Yeah. *shaking in shoes* I neeeeeed that story! It is brilliant and the mystery involved is tantalising and I love her Snape! I'm so worried it will just drift away into WIP-Limbo now. *sadface*
