Scales and Tales

I /love/ the bow scene, exactly because it shows what a sweet heart Jingyan really has, and that he's only snappish and aggressive under intolerable provocation. Which makes me think that, way back when, Jingyan might have been the /calm/ one, the one who could stand steady and weather his genius cousin's sharpness and fire and probably just be amused by it. My personal headcanon is that the whole extended family was offering prayers of thanks the day someone realized there was /finally/ somebody Lin Shu would listen to. At least sometimes.
