Instead of an "All About Krait" post, I think it would be more sensible to make an "Ask Krait Anything" post, and link it in my profile. That way people who are curious about me can find out exactly what they want to know, rather than merely hoping that I would think to include it in an intro post.
So: this is the official Ask Krait Anything* post!

*Intrusive questions about my real life existence will be screened, and I reserve the right to refuse to answer. As long as you don't sound like the CIA or a serial killer, though, your question's probably fine.

Date: 2012-09-17 01:31 am (UTC)I remember I was a very conscientious fangirl; I did read explicit works, but only if there was no age statement on the site. If I had to lie about my age to access the fics, I didn't read them. (No wonder I run my DW in the honour system now...)
Originally I was squicked by m/m stuff, but once Gundam Wing happened to me (my first major fandom, back around 2000) I became acclimated quickly. :D From there it's been a pretty steady theme for me; in fact, Homestuck has me reading more het than I've read in a very long time.
I was born too late for the 'zines-and-cons-only flavour of fandom; it was pretty much all online from the start. (I have very mundane parents, so I never even knew conventions existed; geek social events weren't on my radar at all.) My earliest fandom days, however, were dominated by mailing lists and web rings (ahh, Geocities and AOL Homepages!); LJ came much later.
