an FAQ on myself?

I'm toying with the idea of making an FAQ All About Krait, since I was tinkering with my DW profile earlier today and couldn't shake the feeling that it's growing rather unwieldy. However, I also have a hard time shaking the feeling that no one really needs to know more about me than the combination of profile + tag list + last dozen entries would convey...

Opinions? Burning questions you've always wanted to ask me? Ha ha no1curr? Other suggestions? (make more icons you lazy boring git, you only ever use the one? make a list of your 'identity' checkmarks? tell us about Homestuck? rec some fics for pairing X/Y in fandom Z? just please put up a warning about your weird fic kinks, criminy, do you think the whole world loves tentacles?)

The problem is that I'm boring! I just, y'know, read fics, fail at writing fics all the way to the end, goof around with pixel dragons, and drink a lot of tea. Really, the only upsides to me are that I read quickly and have a pretty thick skin. :D

Yes, do! All of the above! Something always slips through in folks' 'about me' posts that I didn't know before.

Also, do you know the Nero Wolfe books, by Rex Stout? Just 'cos the first one is called Fer-de-Lance. Have I asked you this before? I can't remember.

Heh, see, this is my problem with an FAQ - I can't imagine what anyone would want to know, so if I wrote an "about me" post it would be, essentially, what's already in my profile. :D I thought maybe an FAQ -- emphasis on the Q -- would be handy, but it is predicated on the idea that people ask me questions, and so far everyone seems content with what they do know of me.

I first learnt of their existence when someone asked me whether my old username came from there. That was many years ago, back on LJ, so I have no idea if it was you or not, but I've been asked two or three times in the past, so if it was you, you're not the only one to have made that connection. :D

I love about-me entries, in part simply because I love seeing what people think to include in them.

Yeaaahhhhhh... that's where I fall down on the whole idea, because I have no idea what to include!

As far as I can tell, anything people might reasonably want to know about me can be found in what I've already put out there via my profile, interests, and entries; I don't know what people actually put in self-FAQs, so I figured, well, it's an FAQ, so ask for questions! D

Who am I kidding, the real answer is THERE ARE TOO MANY, WE WOULD BE HERE ALL MILLENNIUM. :D

In essence, it'd be easier to list what I am not a fan of; while I have few hard-and-fast squicks, there are certain kinks and tropes that I avoid like the proverbial pandemic. (Mainly excretory paraphilias, anything involving pregnancy, and high school AUs. Oh, and unhealthy relationships presented as normal on the meta level.)
