Actually, this is just sort of My Thing: if I make something, it is tiny. (These guys are actually kind of large, to me!) Teach me a skill, and the first thing I do is miniaturise it; tiny clay pots/vases in my ceramics and pottery days, earring-size bead animals in the 90s when those were all the rage, chainmaille made with 4mm jump rings. I customise toy horses and fantasy creatures, too, but (you can guess where this is going) only the teeny ones.
I have plans to make some slightly smaller grubs with Sculpey, soon; maybe early next week. (Though I still have to figure out how I'm going to manage symmetrical eyes on these larger ones...)
My wife is an aficionado of tiny things as well. Her most recent purchase? Tiny toaster earrings. Her most recent knitting obsession? Teeny Tiny Mochimochi. And so on.
Wow, I bet tiny toaster earrings are the cutest things!
Those mochimochi are adorable, too! (There's a David the Gnome!) Suddenly my disinterest in knitting is wavering... :D
A friend who can knit let me talk her into making a tiny Slytherin scarf for a My Little Pony I customised, using embroidery thread instead of yarn to get the scale right. It turned out really cute!

I'll try to post a progress shot tomorrow. Must go find a non-metallic purple paint of suitable hue for my Eridan-grub!
