Steampunk Double Feature

I'm currently reading not one but two steampunk novels: Natasha Pulley's The Lost Future of Pepperharrow and Priest's Stars of Chaos (Sha Po Lang).

Steampunk is a genre that I want to like more than I do; in fact, the only steampunk novel I've read that I truly enjoyed enough to buy a copy is Pulley's The Watchmaker of Filigree Street. Here's hoping these two can be added to that very short list!

That's one type of book I haven't read yet either. But I would be curious to try one someday so maybe I'll add The watchmaker of Filigree Street to my two apps.

I've read some steampunk novels and some steampunk short-story anthologies that I enjoyed. Also I really like steampunk fashion in clothing and accessories.

What were the novels you liked?

Steampunk kind of started as a visual aesthetic, so it makes sense that it works well as a fashion design option. (Personally, I love seeing things people have customised to appear steampunk, like laptops or coffeemakers!) A little tougher to pull off in coherent novel form, I suppose.
