I seem to have run out of steam for anything fannish, probably due to a huge work project with a fandom-like* project happening alongside the last bit of it: too many obligations, not enough brain. My MDZS watching hasn't progressed, my fic writing hasn't happened in months, and even reading fanfic only manages to hold my attention about half the time. (*The collecting-things-community is basically a fandom, right?)

With both of those hurdles behind me, I hope to regain some vim soon! Although possibly adding two 4-week-old foster kittens to my life was not exactly a step toward having more time/attention for fandom. :D (No regrets, though. I can't resist a teeny tiny tabby. ♥)

What are you doing, fannishly or otherwise, this October?

I too am hoping to have some fandom/writing brain restored once my current huge freelance project stops eating my brain, as I think it's using those parts of it. That and Dayjob are all of my October. >.<

I'm in a weird place where I'm too busy for fandom in theory, BUT fandom is also a fun relaxing place to escape whilst things are busy. We'll see how that plays out.

I was going back and forth on a Whumptober fic. I should probably try wrapping it up. Also a Christmas fic. (I try to have fics written ahead of schedule.)

Fannishly, I need to finish a charity auction podfic at some point. I'm just finding it hard to rustle up the motivation.

Also kind of stalled on the fandom side, but I recently changed my mechanical keyboard's keycaps which is now motivating me to use the keyboard more lol. I'm going to try and channel it into writing fics.

In this case, pretty much anything that isn't work, housework, or a craft project. :D Though if you want to file your craft projects under 'fandom,' I won't object!

Haha, no problem. I had to stare at your comment for a minute to work out if you meant in the context of my saying I'm not doing anything fannish, or asking what other people are doing fannishly; I take a very broad approach to fandom-as-a-concept, though, so really anything goes! (There's a reason that "dragcave counts as a fandom right?" is a tag on my journal. :D Silly pixel collecting game is a fandom if I spend my leisure time on it in an ongoing way, surely.)
