Over in [personal profile] soc_puppet's journal there was much discussion of cookie flavours related to Miraculous Ladybug fandom, and it inspired me!

I'm not familiar with the fandom involved, at all (I think it's basically a manga? But also French? And from that post it seems it might be superhero-related?) but once somebody suggested lavender shortbread I really couldn't stop myself. I love making shortbread and coming up with new variations, so I ran to the kitchen and tried out the idea!

These are actually lavender-violet, because why stop with one purple floral? :D My decor came out less lovely than I had hoped; the food colour was new, and didn't make a very pretty purple. Oh, well; they still taste good! :D

Maybe it's the Elvish version? A nice shade of Dark Green seems like a good way to go and Shortbread does (almost) have Lembas style filling qualities?

I'm sure there must be! If this is accurate, you might have to name it yourself, though. But just think of being the first to name a nice dark-purple/greenish flower in Mirkwood.

🤣 Miraculous Ladybug is a computer animated series set and (I'm pretty sure) produced in France. It's a very magical-girl-style superhero show, including age range of the target audience. So you're pretty close!

Ooh, those look lovely! I love floral flavours *cough GULKAND cough ROOHAFZA*
I've mostly tried rose but I want to try others in baking. Hmmm.

I find it quite challenging to find florals, too, except as already part of teas. Gulkand and Roohafza are traditional uses of rose where I'm from, which is why they're easy to procure for me.
I think that's a wonderful idea to make your own! Definitely start with honeysuckle, plus you already have a lovely little collection you can expand. I dream of one day owning a garden and doing the same. Cottagecore ambitions, lol.
