I want to post, but I have even less than usual to post about. Haven't written anything in at least a fortnight, haven't done anything interesting in the Real World (TM), all the fanfics I follow are updating slowly or not at all, my pixel dragon game is at a slow spot. I can't even muster up the amount of caring needed to dismantle the ever-growing pile of laundry on my floor (clean; it all needs to be folded and put away, but that would require both a lot of folding and a near-complete overhaul of my dresser drawers to make room for it, and it's way more effort than I'm able to summon up).

In sum: Life is blah and so am I.

On the other hand, I do need to rec a shortish Homestuck fic, so maybe I'll do that tomorrow night. Oh, and I've been taking The Lies of Locke Lamora with me to work for rereading on lunch breaks; the plan is that I will finish the re-read and then finally pick up the sequel, seeing as how the third book is almost out at this point! (It may be out, actually; I'm terrible at timing things.)

Well, I still have an IKEA-bag full of clean laundry, and some stacked up against the media tower, but at least the other corner is laundry-free now! Plus dinner.

It involved a lot of How I Met Your Mother, taking the sock and underwear baskets out of the organizer, and a balance ball. I made step count too, based on the ball bouncing.

The third book/second sequel to The Lies of Locke Lamora has been out for a few weeks. :D (I do hope that's a :D for you-- if you like the first, you'll probably want to keep going, they're that kind of book.)

Definitely! I own the second book; I bought it excitedly as soon as I saw it, but then I kind of fell into a sci-fi phase and never got around to reading it. The mention of the third book's release made me decide that I'd better get cracking on Red Seas, but it'd been so long that I wanted to do a reread of the first book before tackling the sequel(s). It's been pretty fun so far (Locke has just leapt off a tower with the most honest prayer a man in that situation ever offered!), and this time around I'm happily skipping over all the torture scenes so it's a much smoother trip.

The only tricky thing is, I've been rereading book one on my lunch breaks at work, and I'm afraid that simply won't do for the next one -- it's hard to read new books in such small increments! I always want to sit down somewhere with lots of tea and mainline the whole thing at once. ;D

You're definitely not the only one! The urgency of laundry drops off sharply after it's clean; all of that "I have no clothes, everything's dirty!" disturbance in the back of the mind settles down once clothes are wearable again, and storage becomes a minor detail ranked somewhere ahead of "polish shoes" but well below "empty the lint filter on the dryer."
