With the worst timing, as usual; I am doing extra shifts at work for the next two weeks, cleaning up after the holidays, and already have a tonne of unfinished stuff I ought to be working on! Not to mention, I just volunteered to fill prompts on the Homestuck kinkmeme...

I just. Keep thinking about signing up for HC_Bingo. Or Kink_Bingo. Or both. Someone stop me, or at least pat my head and tell me how stupid I am but that you're willing to be my beta anyway? :D

Uh. Is there anything you volunteered for on the kink meme that would potentially also count for a hc_bingo or kink_bingo square? That way there's at least the two birds/one stone option.

Mwahaha, I have to confess that that did occur to me! Though I'd have to time it carefully, because you can't use previously-posted things for bingos, so it'd have to be simultaneous and that gives me... two days? Assuming I get enough prompts on the meme, which isn't a given.

If you're tempted but busy, I recommend one fest instead of two. Both of the ones you mentioned were year-end deadlines. darkfantasybingo just opened for posting though.

I'm having an easier time with hc than with kink, but that's because I can't write smut to save my life. also hc doesn't usually have penalty for not posting.
anyway I say sign up for whatever you feel like and see what happens. also you can stack prompts and squares from different challenges ;)

Heh! I did hc_bingo last year, and found it terribly hard -- because h/c requires plot, which I fail at. Kink doesn't need plot, so I might be better at it... but maybe I wouldn't be any better/quicker at writing that, either.
