Not a rec, but nonetheless a fascinating bit of fandom discussion. Pop round [livejournal.com profile] eponis's post here for thoughts on love, redemption, and the ever-puzzling question of why, precisely, Dumbledore trusts Snape. The bit about fandom perception of Severus Snape made me think rather hard about how I regard him and how my writing presents him.

That said, of course, if Snape does die protecting Harry, I will shed bitter salt tears and go into mourning for at least six months.

Right, this melted my brain. :D Vassel, by [livejournal.com profile] fiendling, is not only utterly worthy of drool, but also has an incredibly unique style that deserves admiration on its own merits--Fiendling, I stand in awe of how expressive you can make mere lines.

Go and view. It's adrogynous!Harry with long hair, lounging about in a strappy little leather number. What's not to like? :D

And, umm, I'm a bit perplexed by the title--perhaps it was supposed to be "Vassal"? But the gorgeousness and brilliance of this picture are worthy of adoration whatever it might be called.
