Hahaha, nope. :D Neither a jungle, nor my current residence. This photo was taken in 2010, in the MacFarlane Woods Nature Reserve in Nova Scotia!

I just really love the forms of the twisty tree-roots rising above the ferns.

Green and grey, life and death, growth and decay - I find this photo very soothing, despite it being quite crowded, so it seemed perfect for the meme.

Heh. I am a desert native, myself, but I took this photo a decade ago at the MacFarlane Woods Nature Reserve in Nova Scotia. The intense greenery is definitely part of why I chose it! I love the profusion of intensely vivid, living green with the twisty shapes of the dead tree's roots rising through.
