This is hands down the best book yet. Four will always be a sentimental favorite because that was the volume where Snape's character really started to get fleshed out yes, I'm easy, but HBP is a solid book in its own right.
Heh. Three is my sentimental favourite (introduced Lupin, Black, and gave us the Snape Hissyfit), but I agree -- HBP is much better constructed and written.
