"Behind the scenes" achievements
This week and last I've been working on a fannish project of sorts that's strictly personal, which is tidying up my AO3 Subscriptions and 'Marked for Later' list.
After deleting a lot of completed works, fics that had been orphaned still incomplete, and many works and series that hadn't been updated since 2016 or earlier, authors who haven't posted in a fandom I recognise for years, my Subscription list is now down to 5 pages! I did leave a few probably-abandoned things in there for sentimental reasons, but it's so much more coherent and useful now.
Similarly, I cleared out page after page of things marked for later! Gone are the fics I had actually already read (sometimes I mark for later if I intend to come back and comment), and works that are probably abandoned (I often mark for later if a WIP has an interesting premise but only 1-2 chapters, as an easy way to figure out if it's going to continue and be worth reading), and things I've lost interest in for one reason or another (mostly long-running series or WIPs that had lost focus and turned into endless non-plot, or fics that now include a pairing I dislike). I'm left with a much more reasonable 7 pages of marked works, and I'm trying to read at least once a week in order to keep whittling it down.
My next project will be another round of bookmark edits, I suspect.
So.... How many subscriptions or marked-for-later works do you have?

I've got 5 pages of subscriptions. I feel like I can leave them alone for now, but my Marked for Later is at 8 pages and could probably use some cleaning up ... *pokes at pages*

I'm whittling away at them!

One of these days I'm gonna go back to older fandoms and get my faves into proper bookmarks.

I definitely had a lot of abandoned accounts and works (some had even been orphaned!) in the pile. This time I locked my sentimental side in a closet and let the ruthless side prune them down. :D The number fics started in 2012 and last updated in 2013/2014 was... significant, and they were an easy place to start in clearing things out.
Once I get these things under control, I'm going to continue working on my bookmarks - a year or so ago (maybe two or three; I'm bad at time estimates!) I got nervous about bookmarks that had been deleted, and decided I should use the Bookmark feature to its fullest by including the title and author of each work along with a brief description. It's already saved my bacon a time or two when a work was subsequently deleted! But I have, uh, 578 bookmarks... and of course, if you're going to note why you bookmarked them, you generally have to read them again as a refresher. :D

However, only one is a regularly-updated WIP that I read regularly. Two of them are complete and my subscriptions are an easier way of getting marked-for-later (that, uh, I haven't actually read because I forgot about them) and the others are...well, two are probably abandoned and I might as well abandon them also, the other three I plan to read when finished, but I think I've had one notification total from them since I subscribed. (But the most recent updates are this year so I am not giving up hope yet.)

I wish AO3 made it easier to filter/view stats about my subscriptions; I'd be interested in sorting by date instead of title, to figure out which one's the oldest. It does let me filter by type; I have ~ 2 pages of series, ~1 page of authors, and ~3 pages of works.
