With a side of "Will he figure it out, or is someone going to screw up and spill the beans before he can put everything together?
He was so annoyed by the book, it was great! He could just TELL something was up with it, and kept trying to work out the key from it, but was missing that one critical piece of information that would let him make sense of it and it irked him so badly. :D And now on the hunt he keeps watching his mum like a hawk when he finally takes "Sir Su" to meet her on the Spring Hunt.
All during that scene I was shouting at the screen you are better than this, pull yourself together! because she was so obvious about everything! Come on, Jing, you can direct the Emperor and leave him convinced it was his idea; where's that sangfroid now?
