Cards and tea!

I have neither forgotten nor forsaken my holiday cards and tea tradition! I merely realised early on that it wasn't going to happen in time for Christmas this year, and decided to make it a January thing.

(For anyone reading who wasn't here last year: every year I offer to send a card and/or tea to my online friends! Reciprocity isn't expected and you don't have to be shy about asking even if we don't know each other all that well; it's one of my favourite, low-key ways of appreciating and fostering the community of fandom.)

Respond when you can; there's no rush since I have no holiday deadline to make my cards irrelevant this time!

As usual, if requesting tea, please feel free to leave taste notes in the comments! Since it's going to be well past Christmas when I get the cards out, the cards will be non-holiday cards, but if you just really want a Christmas card for some reason, you can request one. :D

I was the first to reply to the poll so I had to also leave a comment! I don't like mint. (Previous years' tea with mint have gone down Mr Cheyinka's gullet, so don't worry too much about what you send.)

Haha, that's one benefit of having a housemate that I hadn't considered before... Well, okay, I have used various relatives as a "dispose of this foodstuff because I loathe it almost as much as I loathe waste" option, before. But now I have coworkers for this function. (They are voracious, have no taste, and as underpaid as we all are they deserve free food! Even my mother has figured out that 'send it home with Krait for work' is a great way to get rid of any lingering unloved foodstuffs.)

And since I am always horrible about remembering to say these kinds of things, in case I didn't last year: I was doing a job I absolutely loathed at the time, and having your tea to pleasantly distract me from the awful was such a breath of fresh air. Thank you so much! They were all delicious! <3

You're not too late! In fact, just this morning I was wondering whether I should post a reminder about the tea offer. :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed last year's offering - and that it made it to you! I admit to some slight worry when the post office staff didn't seem to know how to read your address... :P The loathesome job over now, I hope?

Yes! That excellent tea got me through the last cold weeks of it, and by February I was done <3

Also - any likes/dislikes as far as flavours/caffeine levels/tea types go?

Thanks for asking! I actually am off caffeine at the moment per orders from my doctor. One cup isn't going to hurt, but in general no caff/low caff would be great. But in terms of flavor, anything you can throw at me (including that chocolate discussed XD)!

How about you? I remember you said you didn't like green tea; anything else I should know?

Okay, great - that was what I thought I remembered! But there were so many people discussing tea that night, I couldn't be sure whose preferences were whose by the end of it all. :D

Whoops! I usually put my own preferences in a comment; I forgot this time around. I like white and black tea; most green teas aren't for me, but I do like genmaicha. I'm not a fan of "dessert-y" flavours or sweet fruits (for example, things like citrus or currant are fine, but vanilla or strawberry is a No, Thanks). I love mint, rosemary, bergamot, sage, and most other herbs/"plant" flavour notes (exception: anise/licorice), and most florals (though not jasmine)! Cinnamon is okay in small amounts - I love a good balanced chai!
