I've lost a Homestuck fic!

It was an incredible fic, too; I'm dying to reread it and can't find it anywhere.

I have never missed a fandom's presence on DW so keenly; there is, of course, no Homestuck fic-finding community here!

Hmm! I'll check it out; the main problem I have is that like 99% of Homestuck fandom doesn't use LJ/DW at all, so I'm not too sure how likely it is that anybody on an LJ comm would recognise a fic from that fandom...

There are several people there from Homestuck fandom. If you want to search FFA, you can go to http://dememe.info/ (user: nonny, pass: pony) and enter in the search box. "Homestuck" gave me 2385 results - you might be able to find it on search, if you know the title. (A lot of people on FFA don't have a DW or LJ, and there are lots of people from Tumblr.)

Yep! It is pretty much everything I love in Homestuck fic: funny/quirky/unusual narration styles that actually works, human-troll relationships, culture clash and especially repercussions of Alternian troll upbringing, characters struggling with new situations, Dave being a good person in his own inimitable way, and my favourite trio! ♥

When I was trying to think of how to describe it on the anon meme, I just kept thinking how many great things it had in it! But the problem with an anon meme is that you can't say "it hits 99% of my narrative kinks, it's like it was made for me!" and get a response, because duh, it's anon and thus nobody knows you.

Aaaaand then it turned out that guess what? It was made for me! That was a one-two punch of hilarity and embarrassment, right there. *wry* :D

the friction between troll and earth cultures is one of my favourite themes in HS fic, so I'm glad that you appreciate that because, actually... I'm not sure I've even written anything else.
