art rec: "Harry/Padfoot"

Please don't let the title put you off! Despite the obvious implications, [livejournal.com profile] lunulet's picture is essentially child- and work-safe. Yes, it's Harry/Padfoot, but it's also entirely cute, and if you really really want to, you can pretend it's not slashy. (Go ahead, break my heart.)

Gen art!

If you haven't seen [livejournal.com profile] yukipon's lovely sketch of Harry and Sirius... why haven't you? :D It's absolutely wonderful. The moment depicted is just perfect; so happy, familial, even downright cute.

You can find it here in her journal, although it is also available at her website.

Art rec: "Guardian"

Here's one that got lost in the shuffle for a while! Guardian, by Julip ([livejournal.com profile] coldbeverage), is a terribly lovely picture that not only evokes a wealth of emotion but is also particularly well-done. I adore watercolours, and hers are superb--muted yet distinct, with a wealth of texture and detail.

Fic rec: Culmination

Culmination is a lovely little drabble I ran across today. Harry, after the war, with five years of mourning for Sirius and no further purpose in life. I suppose it has HP/SB (it was posted in Canis Major, a Sirius/Harry group) overtones, but they're mild and you could probably dismiss them easily if you don't care to think about such a pairing. Wonderful, wonderful dictionary drabble by FluffyPuppy, and there's no excuse not to read it-- after all, it's less than 500 words.

That said, I must add that one must be a member of Canis Major to read it, since the Group is not public.
