I was late too, but that never bothers me. It was Elwin Fortuna who wrote a great post about why especially Silmarillion fans would enjoy it, and I thought oooh that looks good. The first episodes I did have to concentrate.

I said I would never watch anything that had subtitles. My partner does sometimes and I thought it would detract from my concentration and enjoyment. It didn’t at all, after a very short time I almost ceased to notice it at all. After watching it once I watched it again and have watched it many times since. It’s beautifully done! I also really adore Word of Honour in fact I can’t choose between the two really.
