don't underestimate the impact of fresh air and outdoor scenery
This is actually huge for me -- I pretty much *only* enjoy exercise that involves the outdoors! However, when it's 104 degrees and 65% humidity out there, it's impossible unless I wait till 9 PM or something. (Heat I can handle; humidity slays me.)
Getting in shape has done a lot for not feeling tired all the time
I can only hope. Though a lot of my current tiredness is tied to the "unemployed" thing, too; with no schedule to follow, I tend to push myself into staying up later and later. (History says I am naturally nocturnal, so without anything to hold me back that's what I start shifting toward.) Plus, the last few weeks have been extra-irregular due to one thing and another (weather, travel, family), and faced with a choice between sleep and fandom I choose the latter. :D
taking up running has had such a huge positive impact for me
I wish I could run! My shinbones aren't sturdy enough, alas. I've no excuse for not cycling more, though! Need to get that into a habit rather than a whim.
Have fun travelling.
I will, I'm sure! I'll try to take at least one good picture. (I'm a horrible photographer.)
